Current loan amounts are as follows in most areas but can be higher  in parts of California, Hawaii, Alaska and other high cost counties as defined by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Conventional Loans:  Up to $417,000

Jumbo Loans:  $417,000 to $650,000 up to $1,000,000

Super Jumbo Loans:  $1,000,000 to $6,000,000
